My clientele is mostly women, so it’s somewhat refreshing to work with a gentleman, like our attorney here. He’s done more mediating, so we needed some friendlier images, as well as some strong “game face” portraits. Love the executive presence showing in the photo above, and below. Well, that was fun! This lady never ceases to amaze me. She was nominated for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Man Woman of the Year fundraising campaign. And she stepped up to the plate without hesitation. She also wanted to do it in honor of a colleague’s daughter, Little Miss Hazel, a sweet 2-yr-old, who was diagnosed with Leukemia at just 9 months of age. Nicole is a San Diego powerhouse. She is the founder of The Henley Company, a professor, an author, a speaker, and all-around inspirational lady. I think Nicole’s motto should be “go big or go home” because she only thinks big. She announced that she would be raising $50,000 for LLS! At her announcement mixer, she asked us to help out, and be a Hero for Hazel. And I was happy to jump in and offer my support! And Rachel (in red, on the left) volunteered to be campaign manager – as if being executive director of Vista Hill was not enough. So, I’ve launched a spring special, and I’m hoping to raise $2000 …
These two. Oh my goodness. I’ve had the distinct honor of photographing them since they were mama’s “bumps”. They are so very smart, and kind, and yes, silly! ❤ There were a lot of “outtakes” but sometimes it all comes together. 😉 And when you get to photograph some of your favorite people, in one of your favorite places – well, you find yourself smiling as much behind the camera as they do in front of it! What’s the saying? It all started because two people fell in love. . . . And then there’s this time when little brother thought he was going to photobomb, but he ended up just looking completely adorable, and they create one of their favorite photos to hang on the wall. 🙂 Save Save
It was a pleasure meeting and working with this dynamic lady. Not only is she a c-level executive in the financial industry, but is also the brilliant author of a book on values-based business, and a motivational speaker who is passionate about helping the next generation! I think I like the little white dress almost as much as a little black dress! One of the best things about my job as a photographer is the amazing people that I meet – from so many walks of life. And I love doing a headshot photoshoot because I get to connect with the person individually. And when we’re doing a personal branding session, I get to know their personality, their passions, and connect on an even deeper level. ❤ Save
I’m seeing more millenials lately who are interested in getting professional headshots to use for marketing their business. A And can I tell you how much I love this jacket!?! I this it should be a official TRUE BLUE Porrait jacket! 😉 Such a friendly, confident headshot that conveys she’s ready to take on the world! Save
I’m pretty sure the angels sang and the light shone down from the sky when I discovered this amazing field of flowers. The only thin to make it more beautiful was this lovely mother-daughter duo strolling through the flowers! How adorable are they? Besides, you just can’t go wrong with a fabulous floppy hat! And then a little flower crown to mix it up. Can you imagine this little one showing her daughter or grand-daughter this photo some day? Memories for a lifetime – and then some! And back to our stroll! Adorbs! 😉 Save
This lady has such polish and poise, and her business is all about communication – interpersonally, in business, content creation, etc. But for this personal branding photoshoot, we got to focus on visual communication – how your images resonate with your target audience. Such a relaxed, inviting photo. Gotta love that smile. Fun, fresh, confident!
Grassy green just screams spring and fresh – like this fresh-faced kid actor and kid model. She’s a natural beauty! Whoah – those eyes! So I’m pretty sure she doesn’t know who Renee Russo is, but doesn’t she look like a tween version of Renee? So pretty. 🙂 Miss C is more a t-shirt and jeans kind of girl, so the dress was a little stretch. We were talking about her preferred style, and mom mentioned that Miss C likes rock and roll – like REAL rock and roll – Guns and Roses, Scorpions, et al! And not just because she’s heard a couple songs on Guitar Hero – she listens with mom on the radio. Miss C just got even cooler – I think we’ll get along just fine! 🙂 The finale shot. When the setting sun bounces off the building across the street adding a little glam spotlight, you just go with it! Good job, Miss C!
Between the colors and her friendly expression, there’s all kinds of good energy going on with this headshot! Miss J is down-to-earth, and kind-hearted, and this image perfectly captures that. Such a beautiful backdrop of her neighborhood where she lives and sells real estate. Even though it’s intentionally blurry (she’s still the main focus), it sets the tone. Love the quiet confidence with this soft smile. Absolutely beautiful!
Little Miss A is getting so grown up. She was in momma’s tummy for her first photoshoot – and then she was a perfect newborn model. She’s been in different tutus over the years, and I’m honored to watch her grow up through my lens. Miss A was a model for this photoshoot, styled by Behind the Gate Vintage Rentals, and she’s absolutely still a princess! Gotta love those little toes in the background. And the set was ah-mazing! She looks positively royal in this one – ready to rule her kingdom of teddy bears and dolls. ❤ This is a look mom knows. It must be hard to say no to this sweet face. Thanks, Miss A, for coming out to play with me and my camera! Save
